1700Kaash: Guitar,Bass,Piano,Drums. I learned from playing by ear, playing in the church, I didn’t really have a teacher.

Suge: Damn that’s a lot of gear to play by ear man that’s fire So I’ve listened to a

couple of your songs and i hear a lot of different styles, west coast, rage,

how would you describe the type of music you make to new fans out there ?

1700Kaash: Yezzir, I’d describe it as not only a work of art and talent but itshows the real me and how I express myself. I can do several genres  and make it fire asf. The energy and concept I put behind my music is like a wildfire spreading

absorbing everything that come in its path. Even feels like you’re floating in the air once the bass drops.

Suge: I love that brother , that’s a real musicians take on music! So do you

make anything other than Rap/Hiphop? There’s a lot of cross-genre

collabs coming out these days , is that something you would ever do ?

1700Kaash: Thanks Brodie, yes I do I make cloud rap (Xavier wulf sound) rage, trap (Uzi Travis sound) Alternative Rap as they would classify as emo rap, Metal Rap, I can do a lil of trap soul. But I’m thinking of dropping a alternative rock only tape in the near future

Suge: Alternative rock album wow that’s a far step out for a lot of Hiphop artists , who are some of your inspirations when it comes to alt rock?

1700Kaash: Yes indeed. My inspiration when it comes to alternative is a band by the name of  Muse.

Suge: Well that’s dope man glad to hear you’re a pretty well rounded artist, so I’ve got a couple questions about you as a person , help the fans get to know 17 a little better, first off your from Cali, do you smoke?

1700Kaash: I don’t smoke actually! (Laughing) I know it’s rare for someone from Cali to say that lmao (Laughing)

Suge: Damn yeah it’s really rare ! What made you decide not to smoke ?

1700Kaash: Well I just simply didn’t want too.

Suge: That’s what’s up 17 much respect. What’s peoples usual reaction when you tell them you don’t smoke?

1700Kaash: Yezzir. They be looking at me like I’m crazy and ask if I’m normal lmao (Laughing)

Suge: Oh shit! I never thought about it like that I guess in today’s day and age smoking weed is the norm! Well more power to you!

1700Kaash: Yezzir I appreciate that.

Suge: Of course! So tell me what it was like growing up in Long Beach ? I understand it’s a pretty big city?

1700Kaash: It was coo growning up in Long Beach, especially here on the Eastside. It has its moments from

being in the hood and what not but I wouldn’t wanna have grown up nowhere else.

Suge: Okay so your from the East, I havnt been out there personally but I listened to a lot of Snoop Dogg growing up, and more recently artists like savii3rd and $tipid young and understand the east can be a pretty tough place, what was an average day like for you growing up?

1700Kaash: It was pretty good actually just went to school come home chill out play video games ride around

the neighborhood with my scooter. I’ve been in some sticky situations but other than that it was smooth.

Suge: That’s good man sounds like you were able to separate yourself pretty well from a rough environment. What were some videogames you used to play coming up?

1700Kaash: Yes indeed, I did try to get into stuff but I’m glad I didn’t go that route. I played dbz budokai 1-3 , Tony Hawk,

mw3, dbz raging blast 1-2, dbz tenkaichi, Nba live 04, Nba 2k11-17, Black ops 1-3. Oh can’t forget Bakugan.

Suge: Those are definitely some classics! Black ops is legendary. So 17, in this day and age it seems like artists are more accessible to their fans than ever, how’s do you connect with your fans on a personal level?

1700Kaash: Yes indeed I interact through my socials. I reply to every dm and comment.

Suge: Woah every one!? That’s what I call real dedication to the fans! So youve been hard at work with the music , can you share a funny or interesting behind-the-scenes story from this far in your career ?

1700Kaash: Yezzirrrrrr One time a couple years ago I discovered Lil Yachty was bumping my music on SoundCloud and I was stoked. I went to rolling loud that year and as I was in line waiting to buy fries and chicken tenders he came and got in

line as well. When I turned around and said wassup he was very friendly he also had an earphone in his ear.

I asked him what he was listening too and it was one of my songs then I showed him that it was me he instantly

dapped me up and gave me my flowers and said I was hard and to keep going never stop!

Suge: Wow the yacht co-sign !? That’s big man that must have been a feeling like no other. Next time we see you I’m sure you’ll be on stage with with him! So back to the music , what can we expect to see from 1700Kaash in 2024? Any new projects dropping ?

1700Kaash: Yes sir that’s the plan! And I am dropping a video for my single dirty sticks, a short ep “Sunset” that’s

reason go what my album “Moonlight” will be sounding like once that drops later on this year.
